Sometimes, when you walk out the door, you feel like you've forgotten something. Sometimes, when this happens, the door is already locked behind you, and it seems like you want nothing more than to get back through that door. Sometimes, though, even past that, you just start walking anyways, and you realize that you could've left everything behind and it would only be for the better. I think everything is going to be alright :)

Today I'm going to Quakecon. Leaving in about an hour from this posting, I suspect. There should be limited internet there, so if I get the opportunity, I'll try to make some lj posts concerning anything interesting that happens. Sheesh, it's been too long since I've updated this old clunker. Either way, I'm planning on gaming up a storm or two - the only thing I'm concerned about is this rather pervasive memory error I keep having that seems to restrict me from doing any one thing too long. I can't even finish a game on Heroes of Newerth, I have a 100% leaver ratio :(

Alright, you've heard it here first. I predict a downturn in the economy in 4-6 months. Contractionary fiscal policy is going to be used via raising taxes, which will lead to a worsening of the recession. I think the climate change bill will be the one to do it, too. Fuck Al Gore.

To go to Oklahoma or not to go, that is the question. At this point, it seems almost mandatory in order to cement the beginnings of a relationship, but it is a fairly last-minute gesture. On the other hand, what the fuck have I got to lose? I've got plenty of dough, and I know I'd gladly spend more than that to be with her. Sounds an awful lot like I'm going.

Last night: Better than expected.

I forgot just how truly great smaller house parties really are. We decided to fuck the bar and make margaritas, and I would bring over my hookah so we could get things rolling. This had the added double effect of getting me started on getting off cigarettes, woot. Anyways, even though it was couplesville, USA, it still wasn't all that awkward. Once everyone started getting amorous my friend Kody appeared out of nowhere to keep me company ; ;. But that being said, I got one of those super long hugs from my friend Anu, and it felt good. It sounds pretty pitiful to say it, but she was whining to me about how much she needed a hug, but I know I needed it more. Looks like I won again. Nonetheless, the entire thing put me in a spinningly positive mood. I think I'm feeling better about joining the Navy, like it might lead me to something pretty cool. Yay =)

Alright, the LJ ban lasted about 14 hours or so, better than expected. I suppose now I'm down 50% of my readership, but here's to you, Jes! I plan on still updating it, and I might even branch out a little bit and try to put something interesting on here and maybe try to find lj friends. This is especially true since now my stock of anime-watching friends has been reduced by 100%. Either way, I need a place to vent and go emo on just cause, so there. *emos out.* *tickles* *nudge nudge*
